Emma’s simple secrets to wellness

“It’s all about time management, and allowing yourself to take breaks and rest.” – Emma Lovewell

Emma’s secret to sticking to your wellness routine

“I like to use consistency to create my habit. For instance, wake up every day at 7am. Workout or some kind of movement every day between 9-10am. This way, my mind and my body get used to that schedule. I use my calendar on my phone to remind myself of my routine as well. It helps me to carve out blocks of time for my self-care, like a workout, a meal, or a date with a friend. I keep my routine fairly simple knowing that I can modify it on the days that I’m extra tired, or don’t have the time. And there’s room to expand on it if I’m feeling great. It’s all about managing time well, which takes practice, and grace! For me, I like to workout in the mornings. For example, if I didn’t get enough sleep the night before, I will modify my workout to just be 10 minutes, or something really low impact, or something I know will be FUN.” – Emma

how Emma gets things done without getting burned out

“It’s all about time management, and allowing yourself to take breaks and rest. If I wait until the last minute to get everything done, I’ll burn out or get stressed out. I used to be guilty of waiting until the last minute to get things done. If you met me while I was in college, then you’d definitely know that was true. I’d cram for tests and stay up all night writing papers. After years of anxiety and sleepless nights, I’ve realized that if I can get ahead of deadlines and spread things out and take breaks in between, the better I feel. And the better my work tends to be. I like to set my own timelines and deadlines for things that are earlier than it’s actually due.” – Emma

Emma’s meal-prepping hacks

“Lately, as a new mom, I’ve been prepping my dinner before Skylar goes to bed. Once I put her to bed around 6:30pm, I come into the kitchen and all I have to do is cook the food that is already prepped. It feels like a nice little routine, and I also think Skylar finds it entertaining to watch me prep food in the kitchen. I’ve also been trying to plan my weekly meals before I go to the grocery store, so I am really efficient when I’m shopping. I like looking ahead to my meals, so this gets me excited for what dishes I’m going to make this week!” – Emma

Emma’s secret to sneaking in extra protein

“My secret to sneaking in extra daily protein is making sure I’m getting protein at breakfast. I love using siggi’s plain yogurt in my smoothies with frozen strawberries, spinach, almond milk, and peanut butter. Or, I’ll have siggi’s yogurt with some granola, or a scoop of it in my oatmeal, along with a couple hard boiled eggs.” – Emma

Emma’s mood-boosting moves that make me happy

“When I’m feeling low or sluggish, moving my body is my go-to for an instant mood boost. Whether it’s a quick dance party in the kitchen or a peaceful yoga flow, just getting up and moving makes a difference. One of my favorite feel-good routines is a simple walk outside—nature always has a way of clearing my mind and lifting my spirits. Especially in the spring and summer I love to walk around my garden and check in with my plants to see what’s growing! To keep my energy up, I grab a siggi’s protein pack before heading out. The convenient, high-protein snack keeps me fueled without slowing me down. Remember, it’s not about perfection—it’s about finding joy in the little movements that make you feel good.” – Emma

Emma’s secrets to waking up feeling refreshed

“A good morning starts the night before! I make it a point to wind down with a calming routine—think a warm shower, soft lighting, and picking out my outfit for the next day before bed. In the morning, I kickstart my day with hydration and a protein-packed breakfast. One of my go-tos is siggi’s skyr paired with fresh fruit and some granola. The creamy texture and rich protein content help me feel full and ready to take on the day. The key is consistency—build routines that nourish your body and mind, and waking up refreshed will become second nature.” – Emma

Emma’s tips for making space for my mental health as a new mom

“Being a new mom means my world revolves around my little one, but I’ve learned that taking time for myself is essential. Sometimes it’s just 10 minutes to sit quietly with a cup of tea, or prioritizing that appointment with my physical therapist. Nourishing my body helps too—I keep siggi’s yogurt stocked for a quick, satisfying snack. It’s easy to forget self-care when you’re focused on your baby, but fueling yourself with wholesome foods and carving out small moments for you makes a big difference.” – Emma

how Emma recharges on rest days

“Rest days are just as important as workout days! I use them to recharge both physically and mentally. That means prioritizing sleep, gentle stretching, and eating meals that keep me satisfied without feeling too heavy. A go-to snack for me is a siggi’s protein pack—the combination of creamy skyr and fruit gives me just the right boost without overloading my system. Remember, rest is not about being inactive—it’s about nourishing your body in a way that prepares you for whatever comes next.” – Emma

Emma’s pro-tips for prepping high-protein meals

“Meal prep doesn’t have to be complicated! I like to plan out high-protein meals for the week that are quick to put together. One of my favorite combos is roasted veggies with grilled chicken and a tzatziki sauce on the side made from siggi’s plain skyr. I mix finely grated cucumber, siggi’s yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, fresh dill and mint together for the perfect dip. Pre-chop veggies and marinate your proteins in advance to make cooking easier. – Emma
